About Air Mauritius

Air Mauritius was founded on 14 June 1967 with its headquarters in Port Louis. It operates from its central hub in Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.

The Airlines started its operation from August 1972 and only operated international services with Air India, Air France, and British Airways. These airlines had 25% shareholding in Air Mauritius at that time. The company was bound to ground service activities only till 1972

Air Mauritius operates with a fleet size of 14 aircraft comprising of one Boeing 707-420, two Twin Otters and one Boeing 737-200 to serve a route network of passenger and cargo services to London, Bombay, Rodrigues, Nairobi, Rome, Réunion and Tananarive.

It operates flying to 22 destinations, and Air Mauritius Holdings Ltd is its parent company.
